COP26's Methane Pledge to Reduce Methane Emission Will Not Derail Shangani Energy Exploration Project

The new global methane pledge seeking a 30 percent reduction in methane gas emissions by 2030, will not affect the implementation of the Shangani Energy Exploration (SEE)'s US$800 million projects in the Matabeleland North Province, the company has said. "The Shangani Energy Exploration project will take full cognizance of this pledge and implement global standards to minimize and or eliminate methane gas emissions in the design and execution of this project," Ms. Clara Sadomba, Zimasco spokesperson said.

Invictus Energy Continues its Seismic Survey in the Muzarabani Area

The next stage in the exploration for gas and oil in the Muzarabini area is imminent with 20 very large trucks coming through Beitbridge over the next few days carrying the state-of-art equipment to be used by Australian firm Invictus Energy in a seismic survey to identify the best sites for sinking exploration wells.
