New Railway line to be Established

A new dedicated railway line will be established to connect the US$ 1 billion stainless steel plant in Mvuma to a new portion of Mozambique to move exports on time and in quantity. The venture is inviting investors to come on board for this as well as rehabilitating and upgrading the rail networks.

Rehabilitation of Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Highway Begins

Government has started rehabilitating the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls highway with patching of what motorists had termed 'deadly potholes.' President Mnangagwa recently launched the Second Phase of the Emergency Roads Rehabilitation Programme (ERRP2) after Government set aside $33,6 billion to rehabilitate the country's road network, a development that will create more than 20 000 jobs countrywide.

The government of Zimbabwe has commenced tarring process of the 300-kilometre Karoi-Binga Road after the Treasury availed US $10m to complete the project. Karoi-Binga road extends by 300- kilometer and is expected to serve as a shorter alternative for the persons moving from Harare to Victoria Falls. It is expected to cut the distance by at least 200km.

Air Zimbabwe Partners Mack Air In Launching Domestic and Regional Air Service

Mack Air and Air Zimbabwe signed an agreement for the launch of the “Flame Lily Hoppa” domestic and regional air service in Harare, Zimbabwe on 4th of July 2019. The agreement outlines an integrated and synergistic operational and commercial partnership between the two airlines. This agreement includes the imminent launch of daily domestic scheduled air services between Victoria Falls, Harare and the major tourist destinations including Hwange, Kariba and Chiredzi.
